Carlo Alberto Ricchi, M.M.

Carlo Alberto Ricchi M.M. is an Adjunct Faculty member at Nova Southeastern University's Halmos School of Communication, Media and the Arts. Born in Rome, Italy, he began his musical journey there at 8 years old and then moved to Fort Lauderdale with his family in 2001. At the age of 9 years old, he began his piano studies with Adolfo Vidal D.M.A., and started conservatory training at 13 years old at Miami-Dade College. Carlo Alberto later attended Nova Southeastern University from 2009-2013 where he studied under the mentorship of Jennifer Donalson D.M.A. and was involved in accompanying the Bossa Nova Chorale, Mako Band, Private Vocal students and much more. Receiving his Bachelor of the Arts from Nova Southeastern University in 2013, Ricchi continued his musical ventures throughout South Florida by teaching music with the Salvation Army in multiple areas of Miami Dade as well as for the City of Miramar. 

 

In 2015, CarloAlberto participated in a number of recitals and Master Classes in Italy (including Rome, Pimonte and Sorrento) and then attended Florida International University where he continued his Piano training with Dr. Kemal Gekic to pursue his Master Of The Arts Degree in Piano Performance. While there, Ricchi furthered his accompanying experience by working with Barry Benrhardt and the FIU Wind Ensemble and participating as an accompanist for some of the vocal students of Scott Tripp DMA and Vindhya Khare DMA. 

 

Since obtaining his Master's Degree, Carlo Alberto has contributed to multiple local performances and musical education ventures throughout South Florida including accompanying for Church Services, Weddings, working as Musical Director of Musicals such as School of Rock, Shrek, and Fame (working alongside Jo Marie Payton), performing for local Tribute Bands and Ensembles and teaching at Chaminade Madonna College Preparatory school in Hollywood, FL, where he was awarded "Faculty of the Year" award in 2021.
